This robot is known as Robovie II which developed by the Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute (ATR). Robovie II is a personal assistant. he can take a shopping list which transferred to his memory and follow the customer around the store. Robovie II like a human shop assistant, he gives all instructions,carries customer's goods and even gives suggestions and some ideas. Robovie II can communicate with people just like a real shop assistant.the technology behind this robot is very complex and it's still under testing. you can see this robot in Apita Seikadai supermarket in Kyoto.
